The Department of Public Administration and Management (DPAM) of the Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, organizes the International Conference „Planning for better communities: Innovations in governance and public administration „. It will take place from November, the 3rd till November the 5th 2016, in Cluj-Napoca. The conference will also host a seminar for PhD students in the field, Thursday, November the 3rd , 2016.
During the three days, various themes will be addressed in administrative sciences and public management, such as strategic planning, local and metropolitan associations, local budgets, administrative capacity building, project development, attracting European funds, etc. A detailed presentation of themes within each section of the conference can be found on the conference website. The conference will include discussion sessions, academic presentations of works (in Romanian and English) and a number of social events. They are divided into three distinct sections: Doctoral Seminar, Practitioners’ Workshop and Scientific Session.
